The Aquanaut is produced in three sizes and its robust construction makes it ideal for sports use. The superb finish in steel or gold also elevates its status to that of perfect dress sports watch. Our casemakers use a special anti-allergy alloy when working in stainless steel, and lavish the same attention to detail upon it as they do on gold or platinum.   The deliberately complex design of the Aquanaut's distinctive rounded octagonal bezel, first introduced in our Nautilus collection, sets this watch apart from any of its competitors. Its uniquely structured dial and the clarity of its white-on-black and luminous hour markers and hands are also testament to the originality of Patek Philippe's styling.   It took us more than a year to develop the Aquanaut's tropical strap. Produced in black composite material and matching the textured dial, it is both supple and pleasant to the touch. It is also hypo allergenic and it can weather the harshest of conditions.   Since its launch in 1997, the Aquanaut has commanded praise and great popularity. However, 160 years of watch making experience has taught us never to neglect a single detail in the construction of our watches, so demand must await the scrupulous accuracy of our manufacturing process.
