Trip to Cancun |
|
My boyfriend and I went to Cancun for vacation for about 5 days in November 1998. This is the view of a part of Cancun from the airplane. Doesn't it look beautiful? The water looks crystal blue. |

This is the ruins of an old Mayan observatory in Chichen-Itza, where my boyfriend and I went on a tour. It was about a 2-hour bus ride to the place |

This is the hieroglyphic drawings on the walls of a wide-open field where the Mayans were rumored to play some sort of sport at. |

This is the most historical structure of Chichen-Itza. It's the Mayan pyramid with over 300 steps (about 84 steps on each side) leading up to the top. My boyfriend made me climb it with him. It was really scary. The steps are kind of narrow and high. My legs were like jello on our way down. |

This is the Mayan temple where they buried their dead soldiers. |

How could I not include a picture of fish seen in Cancun waters? My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time snorkeling on a small island called La Isla de Las Mujeres, which translates to mean The Island of the Women. This picture of a school of fish was taken with a waterproof camera. |

While in Cancun, my boyfriend and I also went to see a bullfight. It's a bloody event. It's hard to believe that they kill a bull every Wednesday, just for tourists to watch. It's supposed to be a Mexican tradition, but I think it's cruel. |

|
This is one of the best pictures we took in Cancun. My boyfriend dragged me out of bed early one morning to see the sun come up. I was cranky when he woke me up, but now I really don't regret it. |
Trip to Toronto |
|
My boyfriend and I drove to Toronto for the weekend
of May 14, 1999 to May 16, 1999. It was a long drive. But I'm very proud
to say that I'm the one who drove there single-handedly for 10 hours on
end with only pit stops at gas stations. Needless to say, the time spent
there was too short. I had two friends to visit, so there wasn't much
time to visit both equally. I hope to go back again soon one day.

|
This is a part of Downtown Toronto. Kind of looks like New York City with the skyscrapers. |

|
This is a view of the CN Tower (the world's largest freestanding structures) from Downtown Toronto. It looks so close, yet so far. |
|
|
|
This is a unique store in Downtown Toronto. I don't think New York City has one, but then again, I've never fully explored The Village area. My friend in Toronto, my boyfriend, and I actually ventured into the store to look around. But we didn't bring home any souveniors from the place though. |

This is a rickshaw. In Ancient China, people would pull these rickshaws, giving other people a ride. I guess you can say this is the former version of today's horse and carriage. We saw this at a museum in Toronto. |

This is one of the pictures I took of the falls from the Canada side. From the New York side, you can't really see the falls, but just feel the sprays of water. It's just breath-taking. |
