In addition to our ACGME approved Internal Medicine Residency Program, we also sponsor an ACGME Pediatric residency, a Podiatric residency, a Dental residency, and an AOA approved Internship. St. Barnabas Hospital sponsors the following AOA approved training programs: Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, and Radiology. |

The St. Barnabas Internal Medicine Residency Training Program is a major beneficiary of our affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, since we derive support programs in subspecialties, lectures, faculty, and conferences at Montefiore. Medical students from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (and elsewhere) regularly participate in interview and physical diagnosis activities, sub-internships, electives, and clerkships in the Department of Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital. . . Critical care fellows from Montefiore rotate through the St. Barnabas ICU, and fellows in GI from Brooklyn Hospital regularly participate in the clinical activities of our GI department. St. Barnabas runs an approved Dental Residency, and the dental residents also rotate through the medical electives and are available to provide appropriate consultations when necessary. Medical residents find that interactions with and the availability of residents and fellows from other departments enriches the educational experience. |
