Medical students from Cornell regularly rotate through our various services. The St. Barnabas Internal Medicine Residency Training Program is a major beneficiary of our affiliation with Cornell University and the New York Presbyterian Network, since we derive support programs in subspecialties, lectures, faculty, and elective rotations at New York Hospital. Cornell Infectious Disease fellows rotate through the St. Barnabas ID division, and fellows in GI and Pulmonary will start rotations to St. Barnabas later this year. New York College of Podiatric Medicine uses St. Barnabas Hospital as one of its major clinical teaching resources. St. Barnabas runs an approved Dental Residency, and the dental residents also rotate through the medical electives and are available to provide appropriate consultations when necessary. Medical residents find that the availability of residents and fellows from other departments enriches the educational experience. |
