Dear Medhat,

    Thank you for sending along the two letters explaining your understanding of not only the Middle East situation but of the situation of the world at large.  I appreciate you sharing the information with me so that I may be more knowledgeable about history.  You obviously have studied a good bit about world affairs and you have that advantage over me.  I realize you have been "on site" at some of the things you write about and I respect your opinion on what you've observed and your take on what is going on.  You have done what I asked Richard for in the first place - more information and options.

    I do appreciate your time in preparing these letters and for gathering the information together to send along to me.  Thank you so much for doing that.  We were raised in two different cultures so it is difficult to relate to one another but you have at least given me some things to think about and I do thank you for that.

    With hopes that the world can become a more peaceful place in which to live.
