32. Jews returning to their homeland

Alia Nassar (letter May 14 [28]) missed the whole point when citing Israel's Law of Return, which grants all Jews a right to immigrate to Israel, as "discrimination and racism based on religion." This law is called the "Law of Return" since that is precisely what the Jews as a people are doing when Jews immigrate to Israel. The Jewish people are returning to the Jewish people's homeland after almost 2,000 years in exile.
