191. Jerusalem's Significance Predates Birth of Jesus

In response to Medhat Credi's letter ["Jerusalem's Meaning for People Besides Jews," Oct. 15], [190] I would like to point out that there were no Chrisitans living in Jerusalem before, or during the life of Jesus Christ. Jesus was born, bred and died a Jew. In fact, he was haile as king of the Jews, not Christians.
