 Job Hunting

Accounting and Legal Job Market

Neither the American Institute of CPAs nor the American Bar Association offer job listings on their web sites, though some state societies and bar associations do. The ABA offers some good publications for lawyers seeking to change jobs. For example, Changing Jobs: A Handbook for Lawyers in the 1990s.

Associations of related professions, for example, the Association for Accounting Marketing, the National Association of Law Firm Marketing Administrators and the National Association of Legal Administrators also frequently advertise openings to members and others on request. I've compiled this list with professionals in mind. All the important links are here. Please use the e-mail link at the bottom to let me know if you find a really helpful site that you'd like to pass on to others, and I'll put it here.  (See the listing of professional associations in the Archives.)
